We are SO excited to announce that StrawFree.org received a $1,000 grant from the Pollination Project. Thanks to the Pollination Project, we now have some seed money to advance our mission to make oceans #strawfree and safe for marine wildlife.

What we plan to do with our grant:

  • Launch a campaign to make Huntington Beach to be the first city in the US to go plastic straw-free
  • Increase our outreach efforts by hosting more educational straw-making workshops
  • Giveaway 10,000 bamboo straws at outreach events which will reduce plastic straw waste by 10,000 to 100,000 straws.

This would not have been possible without our dedicated volunteers who help keep our organization afloat and our valuable supporters who believe in the #strawfree revolution. Thank you all.
